Position Overview

The Station Production Controller is responsible for managing daily and overnight maintenance production plans, monitoring station capability, and aligning manpower, tooling, and materials with operational demand. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and control station production schedules and resource allocation to meet safety and operational objectives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the airline industry
  • Wide body aircraft experience strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in aviation maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance programs, and MEL and CDL procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret AMMs, IPCs, wiring diagrams, task cards, and engineering documents
  • Experience working on transport category aircraft

Position Summary

  • Remove and reinstall aircraft panels, shelves, and associated equipment during maintenance and modification activities
  • Maintain a FOD-free work area and keep the work bay clean before and after each task
  • Return all unused serviceable and unserviceable items to stores with the correct labelling attached
  • Stay current on Technical Notices, Quality Notices, and other relevant technical information
  • Carry out all work in compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and airport procedures and regulations

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of a formal aircraft maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent trade qualification
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance environment
  • Recent experience working on commercial aircraft and avionics systems
  • Demonstrated experience in an aircraft modification or production environment
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturers’ drawings and wiring diagrams

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Painters in Melbourne, Florida.

Position Overview:

The Aircraft Painter is in charge of aircraft and its sub assemblies painting and sealing process including surface preparation, masking, and chemicals handling.  May include limited duties of paint and sealant application.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare surfaces to be painted or sealed as requested by the working instructions using abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
  • Installs masking for strips or other aircraft painting detail.
  • May perform sealant application assuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
  • May assist with application or installation of logos, symbols, or designs on painted surfaces, according to blueprint specifications, using measuring instruments, stencils, and patterns.
  • Ensures the use of appropriate technical references and tools in performing paint and sealing duties.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of all currently used painting or sealing equipment.
  • Sets up ladders, and scaffolding according to regulations and aircraft requirement.
  • Ensures all Federal and local environmental and OSHA/TOSHA regulations are complied with.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Generally 1-3 years of related and recent experience in aeronautical environment.
  • High School or GED familiar
  • Knowledge of preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components.
  • Safety procedures for Chemicals handling.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and painting diagrams.
  • Strong ability on paint spraying
  • Understand technical management and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Must be able to be respirator qualified.
