Position Overview

The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) is an entry level aviation maintenance position designed for candidates with less than two years of aircraft maintenance experience.

This role reports directly to the Facility Supervisor or Facility Manager of the repair station and is responsible for performing fuel tank maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities as assigned in accordance with approved maintenance data.

Class C Technicians are not assigned supervisory, management, or inspection duties and are not authorized to sign maintenance releases for return to service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned fuel system maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance manuals
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed by facility leadership

Position Summary:

Looking for highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals wanting to kick-start or grow their careers, and help us grow our Detroit, MI (DTW)  Line Maintenance station. The A&P Maintenance Technician supports the daily needs of the maintenance operations of our customers and ensures an outstanding experience by providing top level service.

Job Duties:

  • This position reports directly to the Station Manager, and works in close partnership with the field Airlines, Flight Crew and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
  • Ensures aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices.
  •  Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair different transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following maintenance manuals,
    schematics, handbooks and other technical documentation.

  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear, and repair or replace as required.
  • Other duties as may be deemed necessary.
  • Able to work outdoors and in inclement weather as required. Work will be performed on the Airbus 319/320/321 Boeing 717/737, Embraer 145/175, CRJ200/700/900

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft considered a plus.
  • Own Set Of Standard Line Maintenance Tool (Calibrated & Specialty Tooling Will Be Provided).
  • Self-Motivated with positive attitude and able to perform with minimal supervision.   Must be able to work standing, must be able to climb ladders and stairs,  and must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to pass background check/drug & alcohol test and Customs & Border Patrol Clearance
  • Basic To Mid-Level Computer & Organizational Skills
  • Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station required and Part 135 experience preferred.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) License a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Ability to work with little supervision to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframe and engine(s), including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
  • Versatility, flexibility, will be important as the schedule could include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.
  • Full Time and Part Time positions are available
  • Travel to support other stations in the Michigan area will be required

Additional Notes:

  • Rate Of Pay: Rate of pay is determined on previous experience.  Starting pay rates will range from $30-$38 DOE.
  • Full Time: PTO, Medical, Dental and Vision with 401K. No Benefits for Part Time.

This leadership role supports avionics operations at a major aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in the Dayton area. The Avionics Manager will oversee avionics troubleshooting, installations, system upgrades, and regulatory compliance while leading a team of avionics technicians supporting both internal operations and third party aircraft customers.

Position Summary

The Avionics Manager is responsible for managing avionics maintenance operations including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and system upgrades on a wide range of aircraft platforms. This role provides technical leadership for avionics technicians while ensuring all work meets FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements.

In addition to managing the avionics team, the Avionics Manager will serve as a technical advisor to customers by explaining avionics solutions, recommending upgrades, and identifying opportunities to improve aircraft capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to avionics technicians to develop a high performing maintenance team
  • Lead technician training and professional development to support evolving avionics systems and aircraft platforms
  • Manage staffing levels, technician scheduling, and workload distribution across avionics projects
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement

Avionics Maintenance & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee avionics troubleshooting, repair, installation, and system upgrades on aircraft operated by internal and third party customers
  • Ensure all avionics maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements
  • Support aircraft inspections, avionics diagnostics, and system integration activities
  • Review maintenance work performed by avionics technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved technical data

Customer & Vendor Coordination

  • Serve as a technical advisor for aircraft owners and operators regarding avionics maintenance and upgrade solutions
  • Communicate complex avionics system requirements and recommended modifications to customers
  • Coordinate with avionics equipment vendors, engineering teams, and maintenance personnel to support project completion
  • Identify opportunities for avionics upgrades or system improvements that enhance aircraft capability and reliability

Compliance & Operational Support

  • Ensure maintenance records and documentation meet FAA regulatory requirements
  • Support quality assurance processes within the repair station environment
  • Coordinate avionics activities with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams
  • Maintain awareness of current avionics technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience working with aircraft avionics systems and electrical systems
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an aviation maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station operations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to avionics and electrical systems
  • Ability to communicate technical avionics solutions clearly to both technicians and customers
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
