Position Summary

Responsible for the overall day to day compliance and inventory control of the STSLM Asset and Tooling Program.

Educational Background and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College Degree preferred but not required
  • Auditing and Surveillance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to quickly adapt to various software platforms
  • Proven experience in Asset Control

General Qualifications and Knowledge Skills Abilities

The Asset and Tooling Supervisor will report to the Director of Quality.

General Responsibilities

  • Managing the Maintenance and Test Equipment Program MTE equipment and company assets.
  • Administers all aspects of the STS Line Maintenance STSLM asset and tooling program. Responsible for the accurate reporting of the STS calibrated and non calibrated assets for Line Maintenance.
  • Maintains location and uploads all calibration certificates into the STS Asset Control System Asset Tiger.
  • Maintains effective communication with all STSLM stations and directors to ensure all aspects of the asset and tooling program are disseminated properly to the line stations
  • Utilizes a variety of auditing and tracking concepts practices and procedures centered on setting the standard for asset control of all assets and tooling as well as certifying that all assets are serviceable.
  • Identify weaknesses in the processes and report these weaknesses to management for process improvement using various resources. Reviewing and inspecting STSLM and customer assets by alerting any out of service equipment and needs for PM to the Station Managers.
  • Ensure the implementation of and adherence to policies by performing random audits of the system. Compliance and follow up of policies and reporting conclusions of results and effectiveness of published procedures.
  • Identify and document out of service tooling coming due at all STSLM Stations to ensure all expired tooling is staged to ship to the STSLM Asset and Tooling Department. Schedule assets for repair and coordinate any repairs as necessary and or justify replacement in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for monitoring the audit of calibrated tooling each month at the station level IAW the RSQSM policies on calibrated tooling. Review the history of assets to ensure STS has adequate tooling to meet the customer requirements. Report on any discrepancies to the Director of Quality for further action.
  • Responsible for conducting monthly and annual preventative maintenance inspections on non vehicular assets per STSLM standard operating procedures.
  • Provide training of the electronic Asset Tracking Asset Tiger program to maintain the goals of the STSLM calibrated tool control program and Asset and Inventory Program.
  • Administer the calibrated tool program making sure STSLM maintains regulatory compliance in all areas of calibrated tooling.

  • Implementing evaluation methods to ensure STS adheres closely to internal policies

  • Ensure technicians always have functioning tools in the correct quantity and location

A&P Mechanics

STS Line Maintenance is hiring highly motivated A&P Mechanics to join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas (SAT). In this role, you’ll support daily maintenance operations for our customers, ensuring each aircraft receives top-quality service and care.

STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States. We take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality aircraft maintenance across our extensive nationwide network of rapid-response stations.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads
  • Partner closely with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers
  • Maintain aircraft to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair various transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment
  • Maintain the highest level of quality, safety, and integrity
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear, and repair or replace as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required
  • Perform maintenance on a variety of commercial and regional aircraft, including the Airbus A320, Boeing 737, A300, A330, CRJ, and Embraer 170

The Ideal Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications with no history of infractions
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft preferred
  • Previous experience with Boeing 737, Airbus A300, A320, A330, or A220 is desired but not required
  • Gen Fam certifications on 737, A300, A320, A330, or A220 aircraft are highly valued and qualify for a higher pay rate
  • Must own a complete set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tooling provided)
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Must pass background, drug, and alcohol screening and obtain customs and border patrol clearance
  • Basic to intermediate computer and organizational skills required
  • Experience under FAA Part 145 repair station or Part 135 operations preferred
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair feasibility and methods
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft airframe and engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic
  • Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer focus, communication skills, and a commitment to excellence

Rate of Pay

Pay rates range from $32–$40 per hour, depending on experience and aircraft qualifications.
