Position Summary

The Technical Buyer is responsible for supporting the Maintenance organization with critical part requirements to fulfill variable demands that impact airline operations. This includes sourcing aircraft parts, initiating purchase orders, expediting existing orders, and coordinating logistics to meet both immediate and long-term operational needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor Maintenance organization requirements and initiate purchasing actions to obtain required materials and services
  • Locate and evaluate sources of supply for aviation materials and related goods and services
  • Select optimal suppliers based on a lowest total cost model
  • Recommend alternate sources of supply when appropriate
  • Communicate delivery timelines and updates to internal customers
  • Expedite shipments to meet Maintenance service commitments
  • Act as a liaison between Accounts Payable, Material Services, and suppliers to resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies
  • Analyze purchasing activity to ensure service levels are achieved
  • Recommend and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to reduce cost and improve service levels
  • Report cost savings and procurement activity to management on a monthly basis
  • Survey internal customers to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Support e-commerce initiatives to streamline procurement processes
  • Optimize technical inventory to minimize holding and acquisition costs while maintaining required service levels
  • Maintain familiarity with training requirements as defined in Section 100.03 Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel and ensure compliance prior to performing job functions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Materials Management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Four years of technical purchasing experience preferred
  • Active participation in NAPM, APICS, or Institute for Supply Management preferred; certification is a plus

Position Summary

This role is principally responsible for all material fulfillment activities to ensure required materials and services are obtained and delivered on schedule and at the lowest total cost. The Senior Manager will lead policy development, training programs, operational analysis, and inventory control across aircraft material services.

This position also owns safety performance, supplier management, and cross-functional alignment across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and coordinate Safety Management System activities, including:
    • Development, implementation, and maintenance of SMS
    • Hazard identification and safety risk assessments
    • Oversight of safety risk controls and continuous improvement
    • Promotion of safety culture across operations
    • Advising leadership on SMS performance and required improvements
  • Ensure safety performance meets defined risk thresholds and operational standards

  • Lead all Material Services activities for assigned Airbus fleets and MRO service providers

The Assemblies and Configuration Specialist is responsible for additions, updates, and corrections to the configuration of parts and assemblies within the Fleet Management Information System. This role supports aircraft inductions and ensures that all component movements on and off aircraft are accurately tracked and maintained.

The position plays a critical role in maintaining system accuracy, supporting compliance, and ensuring operational visibility across aircraft materials and configuration data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain powerplant and landing gear configurations in FMIS and ERRP for the airline fleet
  • Maintain accurate records of removals and installations within the FMIS database
  • Audit and update assemblies in FMIS when assemblies are returned from repair shops
  • Ensure accurate tracking of engine, APU, and landing gear hours and cycles, correcting discrepancies when identified
  • Monitor compliance of ADs and SBs for assemblies and coordinate with AD management to ensure accurate tracking
  • Perform routine audits of aircraft and assembly configurations to maintain system accuracy
  • Provide reports and statements for assemblies to internal departments, lessors, and vendors
  • Coordinate with FMIS support to resolve complex transaction errors using SQL scripts when standard corrections are not possible
  • Perform conversion of serialized non-rotable parts into rotable parts within system records
  • Coordinate with Engineering to validate interchangeability and effectivity of new rotable part numbers
  • Provide Supply Chain with newly identified rotable part numbers to support forecasting and stocking strategies
  • Configure fleet types in FMIS, including updates related to rotable conversions
  • Support Records and Materials teams in resolving part transaction issues and perform system updates when required
  • Perform ongoing part number tracking audits to ensure accuracy

Position Summary

The Aircraft Reliability Engineer supports regulatory and company aircraft reliability program requirements. This role analyzes maintenance data, identifies trends, performs statistical evaluations, and delivers reports that support informed decision-making across Technical Operations.

Actionable recommendations from this role directly contribute to safe and reliable aircraft operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and compile maintenance data inputs including PIREPs, maintenance reports, non-routine findings, and shop teardown reports
  • Correct ATA coding and apply keyword tags to ensure accurate data analysis
  • Perform statistical modeling and reporting of CAMP requirements including Service Difficulty Reports, Mechanical Reliability Reports, CPCP evaluations, and maintenance check evaluations
  • Conduct chronic aircraft alerting and monitoring to identify repeat discrepancies
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop actionable corrective recommendations
  • Manage executive reliability dashboards and performance metrics
  • Support project management activities including action item tracking and meeting facilitation
  • Author FAA-required CASS reports, MRRs, SDRs, and MISRs
  • Support Reliability Control Board meetings
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Programs and Engineering to optimize maintenance programs
  • Represent customers at industry reliability working groups as required
  • Support Safety Management System outputs, Safety Risk Management, and Safety Assurance activities
  • Log and track assigned tasks in designated workspaces
  • Create and distribute status and performance reports
  • Support internal and client meetings related to CASS and departmental initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Strong data analysis experience in an aviation environment
  • Experience with data management tools such as PowerBI, Azure, or Tableau preferred
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experience with web-based dashboards and reporting tools
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to work extended periods at a computer
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to comply with confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements
  • Part 121 airline operations experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in data analytics, aviation, engineering, or related field
  • Experience supporting aircraft reliability programs
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to reliability and maintenance programs
  • Familiarity with OEM and Type Certificate Holder technical manuals
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License
  • Prior hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience participating in industry reliability working groups
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement or Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat DC
  • Multilingual capabilities
  • Residency in the DFW area preferred

STS Technical Services is actively hiring A&P Technicians to join our Part 145 repair station in Melbourne, Florida. In this role, you’ll work on Airbus A320 and CRJ aircraft as part of a dedicated team supporting both overhaul and line maintenance operations.

Position Summary:

As an A&P Technician with STS Technical Services, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial and regional aircraft. You’ll use your experience and tools to troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft systems in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all maintenance, repairs, and inspections in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, company procedures, and aircraft maintenance manuals
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and structural discrepancies across A320 and CRJ airframes
  • Document work performed and ensure proper completion of paperwork for all maintenance activities
  • Work independently and as part of a team to maintain aircraft to the highest safety standards
  • Adhere to shift schedules and respond to operational demands, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Minimum of 24 months of previous experience working as an A&P Technician in either an MRO or line maintenance environment
  • Experience with commercial and/or large regional aircraft (Airbus A320 and CRJ series preferred)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a complete set of applicable hand tools
  • Ability to obtain airport badging and pass background checks
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, climb stairs/ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and moderate noise levels
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions
  • Must be a team player with good judgment and a safety-focused mindset
