STS Technical Services is hiring Laser Operators to support a growing, privately held manufacturing company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These are direct-hire positions with openings on both 2nd Shift and Weekend Shift (Friday–Sunday, plus one additional day).

Position Overview:

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a Cincinnati Laser system while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and workplace safety. This position requires a minimum of 45–50 hours per week and occasional Saturday availability based on business needs. Overtime is paid at time and a half for any time worked over 40 hours in a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor a Cincinnati Laser
  • Load programs from job folders
  • Load steel onto the carts of the machine
  • Change out lenses and tips
  • Cleaning of the machine and the area surrounding the machine
  • Maintenance of the machine
  • Troubleshoot machine
  • Work in a safe manner and enforce all safety policies

Qualifications:

  • Computer literate
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve issues with the laser
  • Must be highly motivated and well organized
  • Able to communicate and work well with others
  • Must pass competency test, and pre-employment physical, including drug screen
  • Must be flexible to updated changes in production schedules
  • Crane and forklift experience preferred

STS Technical Services is hiring Warehouse Associates in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Position Overview:

The Warehouse B – Logistics position’s primary role is to receive finished goods from all vendors, verify, package, label, store, and issue all materials using a forklift, reach truck, order picker, and industrial carts according to department procedures.  This position also performs the activities of pick, pack, and processes customer part and machine orders in the system according to department procedures.

What You Will Do:

  • Gets work assignment from Supervisor, Lead person or scheduling tools.
  • Receives product from all vendors and follows department procedures to get them into stock.
  • Picks, packs & releases customer orders.
  • Picks orders with forklift, reach truck order pickers and carts.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Ability & desire to work in a fast paced, organized, positive environment.
  • Performs housekeeping duties.
  • Assists other work areas or co-workers as needed.
  • Performs general daily maintenance activities.
  • Promotes safety, quality and productivity.

Essential Functions:

  • Receives product from all vendors using the system.
  • Receiving includes verifying part to system, labeling, packaging, and putting away incoming parts and machines.
  • Picks, packs and processes parts and machine orders in the system for domestic and Canadian customers.
  • Performs cycle counting for both parts and machines.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in 75% of the warehouse jobs.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and use decimals and fractions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools, scale, square, tape measure, and calipers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to do this job (lift up to 70lbs frequently)
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform bending motion from waist is required.
  • Ability to use repetitive hand and writing motion required.
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to discriminate visually to perform various checks.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 1-20lbs continuously, 21-50lbs frequently, 50-75lbs occasionally.

Position Summary

As a Painter on 2nd shift, you’ll support various operations within the paint department, including part preparation, hanging/unhooking components, surface cleaning, touch-up, and general maintenance tasks. No special prior training is required — just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive assignments from the Supervisor, Lead, or production scheduling tool
  • Follow work instructions and company procedures for assigned paint tasks
  • Assist in preparing parts for paint by cleaning, masking, sanding, or grinding
  • Load and unload parts onto overhead hooks or conveyors using manual handling or a bridge crane
  • Use air tools, pneumatic grinders, and other equipment to clean and prep surfaces
  • Apply touch-up paint and inspect painted parts for quality and finish
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping duties
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Support other departments or work areas as needed

Essential Functions

  • Ability to lift, hang, and remove parts safely from paint line equipment
  • Comfortable working with compressed air tools and surface prep equipment
  • Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, bending, reaching, and standing for long periods
  • Must be able to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots with metatarsal covers, and a respirator if needed)

Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English
  • Basic math skills and ability to use standard measuring instruments
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Must complete a medical questionnaire and meet physical job requirements
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or paint environment is a plus but not required

Weekend Paint Supervisor

Industrial Painters

STS Technical Services is hiring a Weekend Paint Supervisor to join our growing team in Milwaukee. This is a steady, full-time opportunity with a unique schedule: work four 10-hour days over the weekend, and choose one additional weekday to complete your 40-hour week. Overtime is available but never required.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong leadership, hands-on expertise, and a desire to build consistent, high-quality results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor production flow and resolve manufacturing issues quickly
  • Lead the paint team to ensure consistent output and quality standards
  • Apply 2-part polyurethane paint using a spray gun up to 65 PSI
  • Support automotive paint applications at 25–45 PSI (preferred)
  • Troubleshoot equipment and paint process issues to minimize downtime
  • Perform accurate measurements and calculations to meet customer specs
  • Work flexible hours when needed to support urgent production runs
  • Maintain open communication with team members and supervisors
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance on the shop floor

What It Takes to Be Successful

  • 2+ years of polyurethane spray gun painting experience
  • Automotive or industrial painting experience preferred
  • Manufacturing background with problem-solving ability
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and keep the team on schedule
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to pass a competency test, spray test, physical, and drug screen
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
