This is a 3- to 4-month contract assignment working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position may offer an opportunity for direct employment based on performance, business needs and client requirements.

Position Overview

The Airline Tooling Specialist supports aircraft maintenance operations by maintaining, organizing, issuing, receiving, inspecting and tracking tools and equipment.

This position plays an important role in tool accountability, inventory accuracy and calibration tracking while ensuring maintenance personnel have access to the equipment required to support safe and efficient aircraft maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Issue aircraft maintenance tools and equipment to maintenance personnel
  • Receive returned tools and equipment
  • Maintain accurate tooling and inventory records
  • Inspect returned tools for condition, damage, cleanliness and completeness
  • Identify missing, damaged or unserviceable tools
  • Initiate required reporting and replacement processes
  • Maintain organization and accountability within tool rooms and designated storage areas
  • Verify tool identification and serial numbers
  • Confirm inventory records are accurate
  • Support aircraft maintenance tool control procedures
  • Assist with calibration tracking
  • Verify calibrated tools are properly identified and available for use
  • Monitor calibration due dates
  • Coordinate removal and replacement of tools requiring calibration
  • Assist maintenance personnel with locating required tools and equipment
  • Perform periodic inventory counts

  • Aircraft tool room or tooling experience
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance tooling and calibration programs
  • Experience conducting physical inventory counts
  • Experience supporting wall-to-wall inventory audits
  • Familiarity with FAA maintenance and tool-control requirements
  • Experience using airline or MRO inventory management systems

Security Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must meet all requirements necessary to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • Must maintain eligibility for airport and airline security access throughout the assignment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Work Environment

This position is based at an airline maintenance operation at Denver International Airport.

The Aviation Material Specialist will also support HAZMAT handling requirements, stock transfers and inventory management for the Philadelphia line maintenance station.

Position Overview

The Aviation Material Specialist supports maintenance teams by ensuring required aircraft parts, supplies and materials are received, tracked, stored and delivered accurately.

This role requires previous material handling experience, strong organizational skills and the flexibility to work changing schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ship, receive and store HAZMAT materials
  • Complete required HAZMAT certification during the initial training period
  • Record incoming and outgoing parts and assemblies accurately
  • Receive, tag, identify, handle and sort aircraft parts
  • Issue and deliver parts to aircraft as required
  • Maintain the M&E system and ensure records remain current
  • Report system inconsistencies to the appropriate supervisor
  • Maintain required inventory levels of supplies and solvents
  • Perform stock transfers between locations
  • Physically move inventory as required
  • Receive and issue parts through the M&E system

  • Prepare required documentation for domestic and international shipments
  • Maintain accurate shipping records
  • Ensure complete and accurate shipment of production orders, stock products and custom products
  • Verify box counts and shipment weights
  • Report shipping-related issues to the supervisor
  • Record shipping transactions accurately in SAP
  • Load shipments into trucks by hand stacking or using equipment
  • Complete receiving activities by breaking down skids and opening boxes
  • Verify incoming materials for correct type and quantity
  • Maintain related receiving files and records
  • Route incoming materials to appropriate departments, storerooms or other locations
  • Complete warehouse put-away activities
  • Operate a forklift for picking and put-away activities
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift
  • Support Raw Material Warehouse duties as needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve on ad hoc committees or teams as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Self-motivated with a focus on quality and productivity
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with warehouse management systems such as SAP
  • Ability to obtain forklift and other required equipment certifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to climb up to 12 ladder rungs
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shipping or finished goods warehouse experience

STS Technical Services is hiring Field Service Representatives in Spartanburg, South Carolina. These positions support the post-assembly team through vehicle troubleshooting, repairs, retrofits, component installation, functional testing, and quality verification.

We’re looking for experienced mechanical professionals with strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of vehicle systems, and the ability to work safely around high-voltage electrical systems, high-pressure hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment.

This is a 3rd shift opportunity with current overtime requirements.

Position Summary

Field Service Representatives will be trained and qualified to operate, diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, retrofit, and repair vehicles.

Working alongside the post-assembly team in Spartanburg, Field Service Representatives will support vehicle assembly, investigate mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs, complete functional testing, and help identify and resolve production defects.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the post-assembly team in Spartanburg, South Carolina
  • Operate, diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, retrofit, and repair vehicles
  • Maintain awareness of risks associated with high-voltage electrical systems, high-pressure hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Perform first-time installation of detail parts onto vehicles
  • Reinstall vehicle parts and components removed during assembly or repair
  • Conduct functional testing of assembled vehicle systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams to identify and complete necessary repairs
  • Perform assembly and repair tasks efficiently across assigned workstations
  • Position and fasten subassemblies through proper torquing and component installation
  • Assemble and install vehicle components, including wires, hoses, instrument panels, doors, handles, and underbody components
  • Use manipulators, tools, and standard work instructions to complete assigned tasks
  • Complete functional testing and support vehicle validation checks
  • Perform ongoing quality checks to identify component or assembly defects
  • Help trace defects to their point of origin and support the implementation of corrective actions
  • Maintain Workplace Organization (WPO) standards
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with established safety procedures
  • Follow applicable safety rules, assembly procedures, and 5S workplace standards
  • Apply established best practices when assembling and testing vehicles and components
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience working with vehicle systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic vehicle components
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, diagrams, and established assembly procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to work professionally and diplomatically with customers and team members
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal education or certifications in vehicle service and repair
  • Proficiency in vehicle electronics and wire harness troubleshooting
  • 10 years of vehicle maintenance experience

Shift and Work Schedule

Shift: 3rd Shift

Regular Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Current Overtime Requirements:

  • Overtime is currently required
  • The team is currently working 10-hour shifts
  • Current production schedule includes 6 workdays per week
