Position Summary

This technical position requires a minimum of four years of aircraft maintenance experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals and customer requirements
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs across multiple airframes and system types
  • Sign off completed or partially completed maintenance performed, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
  • Perform maintenance operations in the correct sequence to allow for orderly and timely inspections

  • Request and track parts and materials required for assigned work
  • Accurately record maintenance performed on appropriate records and complete all required paperwork

  • Review and comply with all policies outlined in the company Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
  • Record work hours accurately for assigned tasks
  • Immediately report any unsafe practices, inefficiencies, or potential unairworthy conditions to supervision

Position Overview

Production Control Supervisor

STS Aviation Services is hiring an Aircraft Production Control Supervisor to support planning and maintenance operations at our MOD Center in Melbourne, Florida. This role is critical to the success of our aircraft maintenance programs and is built for experienced aviation leaders who understand how to balance schedule, manpower, materials, and regulatory compliance in a fast paced Part 145 environment.

Position Summary

The Aircraft Production Control Supervisor reports directly to the Manager of Planning and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Production Control system. This position plays a key role in coordinating maintenance planning, material availability, and manpower utilization to ensure aircraft maintenance schedules are met efficiently and safely.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Minimum of six years of experience in management or supervision of aircraft maintenance operations within an FAA Repair Station environment
  • Thorough working knowledge of FAR Part 145, Part 121, and Part 91 operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planning and Material Control to ensure parts, supplies, and repair plans are in place for aircraft in maintenance
  • Proactively identify and resolve production control issues, adjusting resources as needed to optimize maintenance operations
  • Provide customers with timely, accurate, and appropriate maintenance status updates
  • Monitor and evaluate maintenance requirements for progress or issues and adjust workload priorities as necessary
  • Oversee the compilation and analysis of maintenance production data using applicable software systems
  • Work closely with Line Managers to plan and coordinate maintenance activities within the Repair Station
  • Plan workload execution to meet maintenance schedules using available man hours and adjust staffing plans as required
  • Analyze production metrics including man hours required, man hours available, man hours used, task specific labor utilization, on time delivery performance, and causes of production delays

Additional Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Planning in support of day to day operational needs

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders, work stands, and access elevated work areas
  • Correctable near and far vision required
  • Ability to hear at a conversational level, with or without hearing aids
  • Ability to work in environments with intermittent moderate noise levels
  • Ability to visually identify close and distant objects as required for the role

Position Overview

The NDT Inspector is responsible for performing non-destructive testing on aircraft components to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, disciplined execution, and the ability to work across multiple inspection methods in a 24/7 maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing inspections on aircraft components using approved methods
  • Interpret inspection results and determine serviceability in accordance with technical data
  • Apply testing methods including PT, UT, ET, MT, VT, and RT as qualified
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Accurately document inspection findings and maintain complete records
  • Follow established processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and engineering teams
  • Support overall aircraft maintenance operations as required

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
  • Must have recent NDT Level II certifications in two or more of the following:
    • Penetrant Testing (PT)
    • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
    • Eddy Current Testing (ET)
    • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
    • Visual Testing (VT)
    • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • NDT Level II certifications from previous employers are acceptable
  • ASNT certification is not required
  • Previous experience as an NDT Level II Inspector in an aviation MRO environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of inspection techniques, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must be flexible to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
