Job Summary

The HR Director leads enterprise wide people strategy, HR operations, compliance, reporting, and workforce development. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align talent, structure, and systems to business growth while building scalable, disciplined HR operations across a manufacturing environment.

HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Build and execute a multi year HR strategy aligned to GPC’s growth goals and operational scale
  • Advise executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy
  • Establish HR KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadence tied to business outcomes

HR Operations & Systems

  • Organize HR processes, procedures, and documentation across the enterprise
  • Oversee HRIS selection, implementation, and maintenance including platforms such as Workday, Paylocity, ADP, and LMS systems
  • Build and continuously improve HR procedures, process automation, and documentation
  • Formalize and document controlled HR procedures
  • Conduct internal audits on HR processes and records

Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide weekly and monthly workforce reporting including turnover, retention, headcount, open roles, hiring cycle time, absenteeism, and overtime trends
  • Identify root causes of workforce issues and implement corrective improvements
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and systems

Performance Management

  • Design and execute a performance review system for hourly staff
  • Build and maintain a career progression program for salaried staff
  • Coach managers and supervisors on performance documentation, accountability, and feedback

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, I 9, OSHA, wage and hour, and recordkeeping requirements
  • Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, discipline records, and SOPs
  • Oversee audits and risk mitigation processes

Training & Development Leadership

  • Direct the Training and Development team responsible for building and executing the GPC Training Academy
  • Support training programs for both office and manufacturing roles, including ownership of LMS systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to adopt and adapt to the GPC culture
  • 10 plus years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Proven ability to build and execute multi year HR strategies aligned to company growth
  • Demonstrated experience advising executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, career progression frameworks, and succession planning
  • Strong people leader with experience directing multiple HR functions and managers including talent acquisition, employee relations, training, and HR operations, with teams of 20 or more
  • Deep experience designing, standardizing, and documenting HR processes, policies, SOPs, and controlled procedures
  • Hands on ownership of HRIS selection, implementation, and optimization including Workday, Paylocity, ADP, and LMS platforms
  • Expert knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required

  • Assist with OEM marketing initiatives and CRM reporting
  • Develop and grow long-term business relationships with OEM partners

Aftermarket Product and Pricing Analysis

  • Evaluate market availability and competitor pricing for OEM products
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and present analysis for executive review
  • Create regional sales action plans and assess budgetary impact
  • Coordinate with OEM partners on sales initiatives, customer visits, new products, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives

  • Learn and utilize Quantum ERP, contributing to process improvements and system enhancements
