This position is responsible for providing engineering data, instructions, documents, and technical support that economically ensures the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of Atlas Air aircraft within the following ATA chapter subjects: 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 35, 36, 38, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57. The role also coordinates engineering activities for a variety of regulatory and non-regulatory projects while meeting established corporate goals, objectives, and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Systems Engineering actions for Aircraft Systems Engineers
  • Responsible for guiding and mentoring the activities of the Aircraft Systems Engineers in the Department to provide technical support for 747/767/737/777 Fleets
  • Responsible for guiding and mentoring the Liaison Engineering Support Team to supplement existing Systems Engineering AOG/24/7 technical support team
  • Provide budgetary data on projects and issues as directed
  • Responsible for effectively managing all Heavy Maintenance & Conversion MROs – Major/Minor Repair Documentation
  • Issue instructions and documents to economically support operations and return aircraft to service in a safe, airworthy, and timely manner
  • Guide and mentor the activities of Aircraft Systems Engineers providing technical support for the existing 747/767/737/777 Fleets
  • Participate in the Project Systems Team
  • Participate in the FAR/AD/NPRM compliance of the existing 747/767/737/777 Fleets
  • Manage the Aircraft Systems Engineers in the review, analysis and responses of Fleet team Idea Exchange (FIX) for existing 747/767/737/777 Fleets
  • Participate in Working Groups
  • Develop and/or obtain approved data, acceptable data, and Alternate Methods of Compliance (AMOCs) for repairs, alterations, and modifications
  • Update technical source documents as applicable to insure accuracy
  • Support integration of new and previously operated aircraft. Analysis and determination of Major Repairs, AD’s, STC’s and the follow on actions prior to Aircraft induction to the fleet
  • Liaise with manufacturers; maintenance representatives, repair & overhaul (MRO) facilities; outside engineering departments; regulatory personnel; and other outside agencies
  • Participate in industry working groups, industry steering committees, industry meetings, and conferences
  • Review work of consultant, contract, and MRO Systems Engineers
  • Evaluate Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Letters (SLs), and other notifications of in-service issues
  • Develop product improvement modifications as dictated by Reliability indicators
  • Establish component repair and build specifications to enhance dispatch reliability in accordance with budgetary and regulatory requirements
  • Perform thorough analysis of various fleet technical issues as requested by internal customers and upper management
  • Perform analysis on emerging fleet technical issues / in-service reliability impact events as related to Engineering Orders and Maintenance Programs Tasks
  • Submit recommendations for continuous improvement with a focus on safety, reliability and cost control
  • Develop and refine standard analysis methods and processes that allow consistent outcomes and responsible recommendations to support company goals with regards to dispatch reliability and on time performance
  • Develop and refine standard analysis methods and processes for continuous improvement of aircraft component reliability
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory guidance in regards to effective reliability programs and proactively propose and implement adjustments

  • Provide technical support to Technical Operations, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, and other Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings personnel
  • Review maintenance programs, and initiate maintenance programs changes and changes to maintenance documents
  • Report on the status of projects and issues as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager Aircraft Systems Engineering

  • Guide the Aircraft Systems Engineers to continue along a Continuous Improvement path utilizing process improvement methods/tools/training

  • Manage key customers as required for technical support / issue management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in an Engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience
  • Minimum of 9 years in Aircraft Systems Engineering with Management of workforce experience
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of Aircraft Systems and components design
  • Ability to interface with manufacturers and regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an airline environment
  • Proven experience building, managing and developing effective and innovative technical teams
  • Ability and passion to bring vision and innovation to the engineering function
  • Effective collaboration skills and strategy development with peers and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with leadership (minimum – up to 2 levels up)
  • Strict adherence to meeting scheduling deadlines and holding individuals accountable to meet customer requirements

STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Technicians in Macon, Georgia.

Job Description:

Examines, repairs, assembles, and tests aircraft accessories, such as engines, power brake units, auxiliary electric motors, carburetors, spark igniters, valves, pumps, fuselage, wings, and oil and fuel tanks, using hand tools and testing devices, and following shop orders and manufacturer’s specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine inspections or special maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components; performs complete operations checks on hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, plumbing, precision assemblies, rigging and controls, etc.
  • Determines when a component should be repaired or replaced; decides upon necessary repair scheme, quantity and type of parts needed to accomplish proper repair; secures necessary parts from Stores or departmental supplies.
  • Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.
  • Follows approved maintenance procedures for subject component or system, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Consults the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process.
  • Inspects completed work before sign off to identify any needed rework; performs rework; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Performs serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • Completes work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submits completed/in-progress work to Maintenance Lead for review; submits to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.
  • Provides supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested.
  • Properly accounts for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School/ GED
  • A&P

Experience:

  • Required: A & P License; minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience with small aircraft/ general aviation trained in one aircraft type; proficient and demonstrated skill with the aircraft.
  • Several years or actual and recent depot level aircraft maintenance and repair experience is required, (repair of mechanical systems, components, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, rigging etc.); proficiency with interpretation of original equipment manufacturer’s technical data or work package instructions; experience using power or pneumatic hand tools.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Assignments require Standard Knowledge of a Technical Area.
  • Rapid learning and application of new information and concepts within the Technical Area begins to take place at this level.
  • Performs moderately complex Technical Assignments.
  • Assists Advanced Level Technicians on more complex technical assignments.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repairs and maintenance.

Airframe & Powerplant Technicians

STS Technical Services is actively hiring A&P Technicians to join our Part 145 repair station in Melbourne, Florida. In this role, you’ll work on Airbus A320 and CRJ aircraft as part of a dedicated team supporting both overhaul and line maintenance operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced A&P professionals seeking long-term work in a high-performance, safety-first environment.

Position Summary:

As an A&P Technician with STS Technical Services, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial and regional aircraft. You’ll use your experience and tools to troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft systems in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all maintenance, repairs, and inspections in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, company procedures, and aircraft maintenance manuals
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and structural discrepancies across A320 and CRJ airframes
  • Document work performed and ensure proper completion of paperwork for all maintenance activities
  • Work independently and as part of a team to maintain aircraft to the highest safety standards
  • Adhere to shift schedules and respond to operational demands, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Minimum of 24 months of previous experience working as an A&P Technician in either an MRO or line maintenance environment
  • Experience with commercial and/or large regional aircraft (Airbus A320 and CRJ series preferred)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a complete set of applicable hand tools
  • Ability to obtain airport badging and pass background checks
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, climb stairs/ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and moderate noise levels
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions
  • Must be a team player with good judgment and a safety-focused mindset

Powder Coat Paint Supervisor (1st Shift)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Powder Coat Paint Supervisor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a bilingual leader (Spanish & English) with a strong attention to detail and the ability to keep production running smoothly. As a Powder Coat Paint Supervisor on 1st Shift, you’ll manage daily operations on the powder coating line, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met. This role offers stable hours, competitive pay, and optional overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the powder coat line and support production flow
  • Set up and operate powder coating machinery for steel and aluminum
  • Inspect finished parts for quality, coating uniformity, and paint adherence
  • Perform visual inspections for paint flow, viscosity, and coating integrity
  • Coordinate with team leads to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain and operate auxiliary equipment related to the coating process
  • Record production and operational data
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure team accountability
  • Motivate and lead team members to meet production and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
  • Powder coating experience is preferred, but not required
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Willing to undergo a competency test and pre-employment physical (including drug screen)

Pay & Schedule

  • 1st Shift, Monday–Friday with optional overtime
