Mechanical Designers
STS Technical Group is hiring Mechanical Designers in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design, development and implementation of automated machine, tooling and fixtures.
- Interact with internal customers to provide mechanical design support for their equipment needs.
- Ensure both product quality and process reliability are designed into the project from the start.
- Review and understand project costing and margin requirements with applications engineering.
- Develop clear, measurable requirements for success based on the established standards and in concert with project teams.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of a detailed project schedule to update Management of the status on the progress of the project in regular basis.
- Responsible for the project specifications, evaluation of suppliers, their quotations and cost control of the project budget.
- Ensure the project delivered is compliant with all relevant OSHA, ANSI and local standards in respect to the design and engineering work practices.
- Project Management including phase reviews, design & development and full documentation.
- Conduct regular project meetings with the project team throughout the project on: Machine/Equipment/Tooling design and status.
- Controls/Systems design and status.
- Review project specifications, deliverables and requirements with applications engineering.
- Track all changes with a written Project Change Notification and maintain a revision summary.
- Record, address and resolve issues that impact project timing and/or scope.
- Develop contingency plans or recovery plans as required.
- Monitor the timing and cost of the fabrication to deliver the project on time and within budget.
Experience & Education:
- 5-10 years relevant working experience
- Automation Machine Design, Design for Manufacturing High Speed Assembly Equipment (optional).
- Machine Tools Precision Tooling Industrial machine control systems (optional)
- 3-5 years relevant experience in project management.
- Solid interpersonal communication skills, a professional demeanor, cooperative personality and a team attitude are all required.
- Works well with others and interacts effectively and efficiently with internal and external people and groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use SolidWorks and MS Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint Document Management and general computer literacy.
- Extensive cross functional team expertise including technical and non-technical work.
- Analytical and creative thinker, problem solver, result-oriented and focused.
- Highly organized, ability to prioritize a varied and fast-changing workload.

Position Overview:
The primary job duties will require you to to source and investigate staffing and engineering services opportunities in the aviation, defense, heavy industrial, and manufacturing market sectors nationwide. This direct-hire position offers lucrative salary and commission, cell phone reimbursement, and the opportunity to shape and implement program-level accounts in a rapidly-growing staffing organization with a unique approach to client relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute daily outbound sales calls, both cold-calling and warm lead follow-up
- Attend trade shows, develop marketing campaigns, and network both digitally and in person to pursue leads
- Attend customer meetings to gather requirements, manage needs ,and maintain a working relationship
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained with current customers surrounding processes, staff augmentation, and other professional services
- Oversee cost, schedule, and quality performance of multiple projects simultaneously

Experience & Education:
- Three to five years of prior sales or staffing industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience selling services rather than products strongly preferred, especially engineering services
- High sales ambitions, with the ability to take criticism and rejection constructively
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic, with a drive to prospect relationships from cold calling
- Polished and consultative phone and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience using CRM and ATS systems preferred
- High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

STS Technical Group is hiring Electrical Engineers in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Position Summary:
As a part of our engineering services team, you will perform electrical design, technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems for clients, with focused consideration of manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operation. In the course of a typical year, you may work on several projects ranging in scale for multiple different clients, and the ability to juggle these competing priorities will be critical.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with design/alteration of electrical equipment
- Assist with testing and debugging equipment to isolate defects
- Prepare layouts using CAD tools
- Assist in evaluation of designs, and make necessary engineering changes
- Prepare basic schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings and bills of material (BOM)
- Assist in the evaluation of new parts
- May assist in supporting manufacturing teams
- Manage and maintain product and project files
- Maintain project files
Job Specifications:
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts
- Basic knowledge of CAD and engineering systems
- Strong logical and reasoning abilities
- Problem-solving ability
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods, electrical design, and project management
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to and work within customer’s facility, and to manage that relationship
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Typically, 2-3 years of electrical engineering experience is preferred. Candidates who recently graduated from college will also be considered for entry level engineer position.
Supervisory/Responsibility:
- Role reports to Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Manager, or Principal Electrical Engineer; this position does not directly supervise other employees
Work Environment:
This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee’s essential job duties also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the constant use of standard office equipment; visual and mental focus; light lifting may be required in order to inspect goods; regular travel is expected.
