Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support quality improvement projects to reduce defects and improve product reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including control plans, inspection instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality standards are met across the product lifecycle.
  • Perform data analysis on quality metrics and present actionable findings to leadership.
  • Support internal and external audits (including ISO 9001 and other relevant standards).
  • Monitor and enhance supplier quality performance through audits and corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor production teams on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Travel between three local sites within a 5-mile radius as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality improvement role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, CTQ, SPC, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and control charts.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Background in sheet metal fabrication, welding, paint, or electrical/mechanical assembly processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar) and familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Certification (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) preferred.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.

Position Summary:

STS Line Maintenance is looking for highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to help us grow our line maintenance station in Dallas/Ft Worth area, TX (DFW) !!. The Lead A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician supports the daily needs of the maintenance operations for our customers and ensures an outstanding experience by providing top-level service.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies and best practices.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust and repair different transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks and other technical documentation.
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Other duties as may be deemed necessary.
  • Able to work outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
  • Work will be performed on various Commercial and Large Regional aircraft, including but not limited to the Airbus A320,737, A300, A330, CRJ, and Embraer 170.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications (A&P) with no history of infractions.
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft considered a plus.
  • Previous Experience working on the Boeing 737 or Airbus A300, A320, A330 or A220 is desired, but is not required
  • Gen Fams on the 737, A300, A320, A330 or A220 will get you a HIGHER PAY RATE !!
  • Own set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling will be provided).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude while being able to perform your job with minimal supervision.
  • With or without accommodations, employees must be able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs and must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to pass background check as well as drug & alcohol test. In addition, he / she must be able to obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
  • Must have basic-to-mid-level computer & organizational skills.
  • Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing, or replacing, malfunctioning and/or damaged components.
  • Ability to work with little supervision while being able to trouble shoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engine(s). This includes electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
  • Versatility and flexibility will be important as the schedule could include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.

Rate of Pay:

  • Rate of pay is determined by previous experience, and will range from $38-$44 based on previous experience.
  • Yearly raises are available upon evaluation.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with engine shop manuals and regulatory standards, including relevant ATA chapters
  • Understanding of Part 145 and FAA regulations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Borescope inspection experience is desirable
  • Current Human Factors training, EWIS Level 1 & 2, and Fuel Tank Safety Level 1 & 2 preferred (training can be provided)
  • Forklift license is desirable (training can be arranged)

STS Engine Services is hiring a Workshop and Facilities Assistant to join our team in Stansted, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced jet engine maintenance environment supporting global aviation operations. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Purpose

To support the daily operations of a busy jet engine workshop through hands-on, physical tasks including engine handling, site upkeep, and waste disposal. This role requires a proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to multitask across workshop, logistics, and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in the day-to-day workshop activities and general site activities as directed by the Workshop Management.
  • Assist in the movement of aircraft engines, engine parts and engine tooling as required.
  • Assist in the unloading and loading of engines plus moving engines around the site as required.
  • Assist in the close up and dispatch of engines as directed by the Workshop Manager.
  • Assist in the control and disposal of waste products in line with company and environmental regulations.
  • Keep a clean and tidy working environment in the workshop while optimising space utilisation.
  • Perform some site cleaning tasks when required ensuring work and storage areas are clean and well maintained at all times.
  • Ensure the best level of service is offered and maintained for both internal and external customers.
  • General upkeep of all company vehicles and equipment.
  • Driving of company vehicles (ie: company forklifts, towing equipment and road vehicles).
  • Assist the stores department during peak times or to cover holidays and/or sickness (training will be given).
  • Any other reasonable duties as instructed by the senior management team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Computer literate (where needed training will be given on the company computer system).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and willing to move between all work areas within STS Engine Services as required.
  • Must be a team player.
