In this role, you’ll join the Customer & Network Care team of the Daher Aircraft Division at the Pompano Beach facility. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safety and satisfaction of customers, pilots, and service networks operating or supporting the TBM, Kodiak, TB, and Rallye aircraft models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical assistance and guidance to customers, directly and via the distributor and service center network
  • Liaison with factory engineering, design, and production departments to create solutions to field issues and repairs
  • Solve in-service issues via processing in-service data and other available information to optimize troubleshooting
  • Analyze technical issues faced by customers and coordinate internally and externally to find solutions
  • Capitalize on data in a CRM tool around the notions of fleet, contacts, technical subjects, warranty, etc.
  • Follow up with domestic distributors and service centers network by:
  • Working directly with network manager to provide methods and tools to promote network standardization
  • Actively participating in projects to improve tools for end customers and network maintenance centers
  • Develop professional relationships with distributors and service centers in person or remotely
  • Relay customer feedback via proper channels and propose improvements as necessary
  • Anticipate, evaluate, and respond to customer needs and requests in a timely manner
  • Conduct efficient follow-up for customer satisfaction while working with support teams in the U.S. and France
  • Be available to provide on-call response to emergency situations

  • Take initiative to learn new systems and assist with explaining improvements of existing aircraft systems and network processes
  • Contribute to the creation and sharing of technical knowledge databases

Specific Skills / Professional Background

  • 6+ years of experience as a field service engineer, engineer in aviation, TBM technician, or aviation emergency response
  • Strong technical knowledge of Daher products, including airframe, engine, propeller, and avionics
  • Avionics and electrical system knowledge required; Garmin suites and avionics training certificate preferred
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications for analytical reports and presentations (e.g., Power BI and Excel)
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining regular reporting to superiors and colleagues
  • Strong coordination skills to manage high volumes of communications with service networks and customers

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on interior assemblies and subassemblies such as seats, cabinets, panels, partitions, divan, and In-flight entertainment equipment.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed while following appropriate clean-as-you go shop practices.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
  • Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
  • Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Performs serviceability tests utilizing test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Completes work package documentation per FAA and/or repair station manual.
  • Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Generally 1-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Minimum 15 years in Aircraft Structures Engineering with management experience
  • Strong knowledge of widebody aircraft structures, systems, and component design
  • Proven experience building, managing, and developing technical teams
  • Ability to interface with OEMs and regulatory agencies effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with M&E and document management systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and bring vision to the engineering function

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in Engineering (MBA preferred)
  • FAA A&P Certificate
  • Airline or Aerospace industry experience
