Position Overview

The Lead A&P Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, modifying, and repairing aircraft while guiding mechanics through advanced technical work. This role coordinates manpower, tooling, and materials to ensure efficient aircraft maintenance and inspection coverage across each shift.

You will serve as a technical leader, supporting troubleshooting efforts, maintaining compliance with FAA standards, and ensuring documentation accuracy prior to aircraft departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repairs on company aircraft
  • Perform aircraft inspections in accordance with company procedures
  • Use electronic test equipment, voltage and amperage measuring devices, and navigation troubleshooting systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate
  • Three or more years of Boeing line maintenance experience

Position Summary:

STS Line Maintenance is looking for highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to help us grow our line maintenance station in Miami, FL (MIA). The A&P Aviation Maintenance Technician supports the daily needs of the maintenance operations for our customers and ensures an outstanding experience by providing top-level service.

Position Overview:

  • This position reports directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads. Candidate will work in close partnership with the field airlines, flight crew and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
  • The candidate will ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies and best practices.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust and repair different transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks and other technical documentation.
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Other duties as may be deemed necessary.
  • Able to work outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
  • Work will be performed on various Commercial and Large Regional aircraft, including but not limited to the Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications  (A&P) with no history of infractions.
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft considered a plus.
  • Previous experience on the A320 family, 737, Embraer 170/190, CRJ 200/700/900 is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Own set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling will be provided).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude while being able to perform your job with minimal supervision.
  • With or without accommodations, employees must be able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs and must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to pass background check as well as drug & alcohol test. In addition, he / she must be able to obtain customs & border patrol clearance.

  • Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing, or replacing, malfunctioning and/or damaged components.
  • Ability to work with little supervision while being able to trouble shoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engine(s). This includes electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.

Rate of Pay:

  • Rate of pay is determined by previous experience and formal training.  Starting pay rates will range between $33-$42 DOE

  • Run multiple machines simultaneously within a production cell to maximize throughput.
  • Utilize working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to support accurate part production.
  • Mentor and train operators on repetitive machining tasks to promote skill development and process consistency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining long-range plans for maintenance improvement while providing technical support to manufacturing teams. This role ensures the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment to support SPQRC objectives and overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement immediate and long-term corrective actions
  • Support plant objectives related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost (SPQRC)
  • Supervise maintenance and construction-related projects across the facility
  • Maintain production schedules and quality requirements
  • Train, develop, and evaluate maintenance personnel
  • Ensure compliance with Local and National Labor Agreements
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve operational and technical issues
  • Implement and manage planned and preventive maintenance activities
  • Complete work assignments within budget, manpower, and timing constraints
  • Partner with leadership to analyze operational challenges and drive solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience supporting machine, assembly, and facility maintenance operations
  • Proven ability to ensure a safe industrial work environment
  • Working knowledge of basic mathematics, including trigonometry
  • Experience supervising a multi-trade workforce
  • Strong understanding of tooling, manufacturing processes, and assembly operations
  • High analytical ability to resolve complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Lotus Notes or similar email communication platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • Skilled trades training or equivalent technical background required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant maintenance or industrial experience
