Position Summary

Job Summary

The Flight Test Telemetry Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining telemetry systems used in aircraft flight testing. This includes supporting test flights, troubleshooting system components, and ensuring data quality and system reliability across a range of environments and conditions.

Job Duties

  • Plan and document aircraft flight test telemetry frequencies and licenses
  • Provide real-time support during flight tests from telemetry control room and van
  • Review, process, and store flight test data after each flight

  • Assist data flight test engineers with data reduction
  • Set up and manage IADS screens to support aircraft and telemetry room operations

Required Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on interior assemblies and subassemblies such as seats, cabinets, panels, partitions, divan, and In-flight entertainment equipment.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed while following appropriate clean-as-you go shop practices.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
  • Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
  • Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Performs serviceability tests utilizing test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Completes work package documentation per FAA and/or repair station manual.
  • Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School/ GED
  • A&P and mechanical / electrical experience a plus
  • Structures experience a plus.

Experience:

  • Generally 1-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Requiring Basic Skills to perform basic tasks within the Technical Area assigned to in area of responsibility with assembly, mechanical, electrical or aircraft structures as well as able to use all tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Assignments require Minimal Knowledge beyond the assigned work.

The Warehouse B – Logistics position’s primary role is to receive finished goods from all vendors, verify, package, label, store, and issue all materials using a forklift, reach truck, order picker, and industrial carts according to department procedures.  This position also performs the activities of pick, pack, and processes customer part and machine orders in the system according to department procedures.

What You Will Do:

  • Gets work assignment from Supervisor, Lead person or scheduling tools.
  • Receives product from all vendors and follows department procedures to get them into stock.
  • Picks, packs & releases customer orders.
  • Picks orders with forklift, reach truck order pickers and carts.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Ability & desire to work in a fast paced, organized, positive environment.
  • Performs housekeeping duties.
  • Assists other work areas or co-workers as needed.
  • Performs general daily maintenance activities.
  • Promotes safety, quality and productivity.

Essential Functions:

  • Receives product from all vendors using the system.
  • Receiving includes verifying part to system, labeling, packaging, and putting away incoming parts and machines.
  • Picks, packs and processes parts and machine orders in the system for domestic and Canadian customers.
  • Performs cycle counting for both parts and machines.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in 75% of the warehouse jobs.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and use decimals and fractions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools, scale, square, tape measure, and calipers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to do this job (lift up to 70lbs frequently)
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform bending motion from waist is required.
  • Ability to use repetitive hand and writing motion required.
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to discriminate visually to perform various checks.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 1-20lbs continuously, 21-50lbs frequently, 50-75lbs occasionally.
