STS Technical Services is hiring Fabricators in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role supports indoor construction and structural fabrication operations, producing high-quality fiberglass staircases, platforms, handrails, ladders, walkovers, and landings.

Position Summary
The Fabricator executes most stages of production with minimal supervision, including blueprint interpretation, material preparation, part fabrication, assembly, inspection, and packaging. This position plays a key role in maintaining production quality, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Based on workload and customer requirements, occasional weekends and mandatory overtime may be required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, layout, and fabricate products including staircases, platforms, handrails, ladders, walkovers, and landings
- Interpret blueprints and engineered drawings to produce structural fiberglass components
- Apply shop mathematics to mark dimensions and assemble parts accurately
- Use squares, levels, and measuring devices to ensure product quality
- Perform part fabrication, material handling, shipping, receiving, and project-related duties as needed
- Stage, process, package, and transport materials through the manufacturing process
- Operate fork trucks and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Exhibit safe work habits and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Contribute to positive teamwork and support production improvement initiatives
- Communicate concerns and opportunities to Operations Managers for resolution
- Assist with general shop support to achieve performance and quality goals
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- General understanding of fabrication, shipping, and material management processes
- Knowledge of staircases, platforms, handrails, ladders, walkovers, and landings preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and blueprints
- Trained in safe operation of fork trucks and power tools
- Proficiency using mechanical and pneumatic power tools including drills, saws, and routers
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as tape measures, screwdrivers, wrenches, and files
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 3 years of progressive fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred
- Completion of Parts Fabricator checklist required
- 3 to 6 months of on-the-job experience typically required to meet performance standards
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting
- Ability to lift 1 to 10 pounds frequently, 10 to 30 pounds occasionally, and up to 80 pounds infrequently with assistance
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Ability to work near power tools and related equipment safely
Personal Protective Equipment Requirements
- Safety shoes or steel-toe shoes
- Ear plugs or headset
- Work gloves
- Safety glasses
- Chemical-resistant gloves, goggles or face shield, and apron when required
