Position Summary

As a Trailer Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostic inspections, and repairs on a variety of trailers to ensure fleet safety and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and repairs on trailers, reporting damage and corrective actions
  • Maintain and service trailer systems including air brakes, suspension, electrical, couplers, landing gear, and more
  • Perform welding repairs in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
  • Assist with minor repairs on terminal tractors as needed
  • Execute test drives to verify functionality after repairs
  • Complete work orders using fleet maintenance software, tracking parts and labor accurately
  • Support team members with additional repair tasks when needed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience performing trailer diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and compliance requirements in a maintenance facility
  • Ability to weld and perform mechanical repairs independently
  • Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

STS Technical Services is hiring Welders in Homer City, Pennsylvania. In this role, you’ll perform precision welds on component parts per customer specifications and dimensions. Welders will also inspect all completed welds for non-conformities, assemble parts using fixtures or blueprints, and ensure work meets customer design requirements. STS Technical Services is hiring an Offline Technician in Liberty, Missouri. This is a full-time, non-exempt role supporting aftermarket operations and equipment inspection, testing, troubleshooting and repair prior to shipment.

This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined technician with experience inspecting equipment, troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems, reading blueprints and schematics, and working hands-on in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Position Summary

The Offline Technician is responsible for safely inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and repairing all equipment within the assigned facility prior to shipment. This role acts as a problem solver, identifying and resolving equipment issues with minimal guidance and supervision while supporting quality, safety and production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform the test and inspection process for all facility-specific Access equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, hydraulic and mechanical component issues
  • Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Use specialty tools as required
  • Assist in driving defects back to the point of origin
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of corrective actions
  • Validate that machine configuration is aligned to the sales order
  • Properly complete the EQC process
  • Work effectively across all workstations in assigned job functions
  • Assist with training new team members on processes and equipment functions
  • Use and train on electronic devices and systems including EQC, MDS, JED and AS400
  • Work in any workstation on the assembly line as required
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of special equipment and tools required to complete product models produced in the assigned facility
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules and proper 6S standards
  • Follow safe procedures and best practices while assembling and testing all facility-specific Access equipment models and products
  • Assist with issue resolution and partner with various Access functions as required, including new product development
  • Contribute suggestions and identify opportunities for product improvement, process improvement or cost savings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to drive, test and conduct offline inspections on all machines in the assigned facility
  • Ability to travel up to 5 percent
