STS Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Field Services Technician for our client’s Anniston, Alabama location. This role requires an expert with extensive knowledge of the AMPV, including mechanical systems, air conditioning systems, hydraulic systems, electrical power management, automotive systems, fire control, weapons systems, remote weapons firing systems, and other subsystems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to Military Bases: Conduct vehicle upgrades, modifications, inspections, repairs, services, and maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal Company per diem group leader
  • Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
  • Experience coordinating, managing, addressing performance concerns, and leading people in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage conflict and make decisions in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Experience solving complex problems in a manufacturing setting
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, email, typing, etc.)
  • Willingness to work weekends and rotating shifts

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Resourcefulness with a willingness to ask questions and take initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity, self-directed, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams
