Position Overview

As a 2nd Shift Painter, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining powder painting equipment to achieve proper paint coverage. You’ll also perform manual paint application, part prep, equipment maintenance, and quality inspections. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and overall paintline efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adjust powder paint equipment for optimal performance (air flow, powder flow, KV settings)
  • Troubleshoot equipment during runs to ensure painting specs are met
  • Clean and maintain powder paint and washer equipment (sieves, hoses, transfer blocks, guns, nozzles, filters)
  • Perform visual inspections throughout the paint process
  • Maintain titration and chemical balance logs
  • Conduct shot blast media removal and touch-up
  • Safely load paint powder containers and connect to spray booths
  • Operate pneumatic tools and bridge cranes to prep and position components
  • Support cross-training initiatives and assist other departments as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Essential Functions

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting powder drums, connecting spray equipment, and hanging components
  • Perform minor maintenance on spray equipment
  • Use manual spray guns, vacuums, compressed air, and blasting wands
  • Conduct inspections to ensure complete and consistent paint coverage
  • Adhere to all PPE and safety standards, including eye, hearing, foot protection, and respirators as needed

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English with the ability to read and follow work instructions
  • Basic math skills and demonstrated manual dexterity
  • Strong understanding of powder coating equipment and procedures
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Must complete a medical questionnaire and wear all required PPE

Position Summary:

Field Service Representatives (FSRs) serve as the bridge between defense technology and battlefield readiness. After completing internal training, you’ll be responsible for OPNET / FLMNET instruction and maintenance support for military wheeled vehicles. You’ll provide expert diagnostics, deliver onsite repairs, and train operators and maintainers at military installations across the globe. The other 25% to 50% of your time will be spent supporting operations locally near Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth field support, diagnostics, and maintenance for military vehicle systems
