Position Summary:

As an Aircraft Structures Technician, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of aircraft. You will support repair and modification projects, read and interpret aircraft blueprints, and ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and components

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of aircraft maintenance experience with a focus on structural repair and modification
  • Previous experience working on King Air and/or Citation aircraft is required
  • Demonstrated experience with flight control surface repairs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance (AOA badge)
  • Strong working knowledge of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145

This hands-on role is mission-critical, supporting next-gen CATV platforms in extreme weather conditions.

Position Summary:

Based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) in Anchorage, this role provides expert in-garrison and field-level maintenance support for CATV systems—the modern replacement for the Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUSV). The Field Service Technician will manage diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and warranty services across multiple vehicle models.

This position offers long-term stability, minimal travel, and the opportunity to work on specialized military vehicles in a demanding but rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CATV systems

Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.
  • Tests engine and system operations, using testing equipment, and listens to engine sounds to detect and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Removes engine from aircraft or installs engine, using hoist or forklift truck.
  • Disassembles, and or modifies aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, engineering orders and technical publications.
  • Reads and interprets aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Adjusts, aligns, and calibrates aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Maintain and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
  • Work independently on projects when required.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Aviation Technology preferred along with aircraft model specific training.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years current experience maintaining, inspecting, servicing and repairing corporate aircraft.
  • Must possess a valid FAA A&P License.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience in Aviation Maintenance Software programs such as Corridor is preferred.

Attendance:

  • Must have regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed and potentially work alternate shifts as determined by aircraft schedules and manpower needs.

Compliance:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and US Passport (preferred); must pass a pre-employment drug test; ongoing employment requires participation and compliance with the Anti Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program which includes random testing.

Initiative:

  • Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and maintain a rapid pace.
  • Quality oriented.

Responsibility:

  • Must perform all work in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, the company RSM and Safety standards.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid drivers license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Routine standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting or stooping.
  • Manual work requires routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
  • Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot.

STS Technical Services is hiring an experienced Quality Control Inspector for 2nd shift operations in Chattanooga, TN. This role ensures compliance with FAA regulations and West Star Aviation’s quality standards, supporting aircraft maintenance, inspections, and audits across Bombardier, Gulfstream, and Citation airframes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect technician work, perform “OK to close” verifications, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Verify Corridor sign-offs as part of the inspection process.
  • Participate in daily review meetings to align maintenance progress with quality requirements.
  • Assist with airframe inspections and coordinate final sign-offs across departments.
  • Oversee and manage the Equipment Removal and Installation Log.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance (QA) Department with log research to clear flagged items.
  • Maintain close contact with Team Leaders to ensure all quality control standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and repair station quality control manuals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A&P License or Repairman Certificate required (Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of turbine aircraft inspection experience with return-to-service authority.
  • Hands-on experience with Bombardier, Gulfstream, or Citation aircraft.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance manuals.
  • Customer service experience is highly recommended.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to enter data accurately, maintain work schedules, and coordinate projects effectively.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Corridor Aviation Service software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license (passport preferred for potential airline travel).

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
  • Bend, reach, and stoop around aircraft as needed.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Work independently while maintaining professional communication with the Quality Department.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.

Work Environment

  • Primarily hangar-based, with exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Occasional outdoor work may be required.
