STS Technical Services is hiring experienced AOG Travel Mechanics to support aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting operations for a leading aviation client. Position Summary

  • Previous experience on Boeing 737, Airbus A300, A320, A330, or A220 is desired but not required
  • Gen Fams on 737, A300, A320, A330, or A220 will earn a higher pay rate
  • Must own a set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tooling will be provided)
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Ability to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Must pass background check, drug and alcohol test, and obtain customs and border patrol clearance
  • Basic-to-mid-level computer and organizational skills required
  • Experience under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 operator is highly desired
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Controller reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance Control, and is responsible for coordinating the correction of mechanical irregularities that may develop during flight operations and monitors the status of out-of-service aircraft.

2.8.14.2 Specific

  • Issues control numbers for all reported aircraft discrepancies.
  • Authorizes MEL/CDL/NEF deferrals in accordance with the procedures Outlined in the GPM.
  • Maintains current deferred discrepancy information to ensure timely repair of these discrepancies.
  • Notifies Dispatch of all MELICDL/NEF items that may impact flight operations.
  • Notifies appropriate maintenance management of any incident or accident involving our client’s equipment or personnel.
  • Supervises and provides technical guidance to line. on-call and/or Contracted maintenance personnel as required.
  • Communicates the status of out-of-service and spare aircraft, Ferry Flights, mechanical delays and cancellations (via text paging, conference calls, emails, etc.) to all concerned departments as situations occur.
  • Notifies the Quality Assurance Department when the need to authorize additional Rll personnel is identified at any location, including other air carriers.
  • Coordinates the routing of appropriate parts, equipment and personnel to out-of-service aircraft as required.
  • Ensures Ferry Flights and Functional or Operational Check Flights are conducted in accordance with the procedures outlined in the GPM.
  • Ensures On-the-Job Training (OJT) is conducted and documented.
  • Performs additional tasks as specified in the CASS/Reliability Section Of the Mesa Airlines, Inc. Genera/ Procedures Manual (GPM).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenance Control.

2.8.14.3 Qualifications

  • Holds a Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Three years of experience on CRJ 700/900, ERJ 175, B737 preferred (or) Three years of part 121 Maintenance Controller experience. (or) Three years of experience on regional and commercial aircraft

This is a full-time, exempt salaried position responsible for ensuring all training meets FAA requirements, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports technician qualification and skill development across our nationwide network.

Position Summary

The Aircraft Technical Training Instructor/Developer reports directly to the Sr. VP / GM of STS Line Maintenance and is responsible for the administration, development, and continuous improvement of our technical training programs. This position ensures all training records, systems, and assessments meet FAA, customer, and company standards. You will work closely with Line Station Managers, Quality, Compliance, and air carrier partners to design, deliver, and evaluate training that keeps our teams qualified, compliant, and prepared to deliver industry-leading aircraft maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop aircraft technical courses of training and other training pertinent to line aircraft maintenance while maintaining established departmental, company, and training provider standards.
  • Deliver training to aircraft maintenance technicians in both classroom and distance learning environments.
  • Research, develop, implement, and revise curriculum.
  • Monitor operational issues to determine training responses.
  • Review technical data and manual revisions where applicable to remain current with regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.
  • Promote and ensure a safe training environment promoting sound operational judgement and a safety-oriented attitude throughout the organization.
  • Update training records according to company and training provider standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Training

Qualifications

  • Must have critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • 2+ years experience in technical instructor specialty areas. Strong aircraft line maintenance background preferred.
  • Candidates MUST have current authorization to work in the United States, for any employer.
  • Must be proficient with the MS suite and development software such as Adobe media development software.
  • Strong written and excellent oral communication skills
  • Must have valid A&P license.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have and hold a valid driver’s license. No MVR issues in past 3 years.
  • Must be a self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Primary shift will be 0800 – 1700. Work may be required on weekends and holidays, therefore candidate must be available to work any day of the week. Expect to work holidays as required.
  • Travel: 35% travel required

Work Environment:

  • Remote office work with occasional need to travel. Must live within 60 miles of a large airport.

Rate of Pay:

  • Rate of pay is determined by previous experience and starts between $85k and $95k annually.
