Position Summary:

STS Line Maintenance is looking for highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to help us grow our line maintenance station in San Antonio, TX (DFW). The A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician supports the daily needs of the maintenance operations for our customers and ensures an outstanding experience by providing top-level service. Position Responsibilities:

  • This position reports directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads. Candidate will work in close partnership with the field airlines, flight crew and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
  • The candidate will ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies and best practices.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust and repair different transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks and other technical documentation.
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Other duties as may be deemed necessary.
  • Able to work outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
  • Work will be performed on various Commercial and Large Regional aircraft, including but not limited to the Airbus A320,737, A300, A330, CRJ, and Embraer 170.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications (A&P) with no history of infractions.
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft considered a plus.
  • Previous Experience working on the Boeing 737 or Airbus A300, A320, A330 or A220 is desired, but is not required
  • Gen Fams on the 737, A300, A320, A330 or A220 will get you a HIGHER PAY RATE !!
  • Own set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling will be provided).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude while being able to perform your job with minimal supervision.
  • With or without accommodations, employees must be able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs and must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to pass background check as well as drug & alcohol test. In addition, he / she must be able to obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
  • Must have basic-to-mid-level computer & organizational skills.
  • Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing, or replacing, malfunctioning and/or damaged components.
  • Ability to work with little supervision while being able to trouble shoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engine(s). This includes electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
  • Versatility and flexibility will be important as the schedule could include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.

Rate of Pay:

  • Rate of pay is determined by previous experience, and will range from $34-$42 based on previous experience !

  • Develop maintenance and inspection policies and procedures in accordance with FAA requirements
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance functions comply with the Inspection Procedures Manual
  • Maintain the Capabilities List and notifications to the FSDO
  • Maintain the calibration system for all required tools and equipment
  • Ensure training programmes are compliant and that all training records are properly maintained
  • Oversee Quality Assurance related to aircraft airworthiness and inspection functions
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Advisory Circulars, STCs, and PMAs, and complete all required documentation
  • Ensure the company does not perform work outside of its approved ratings
  • Maintain employee personnel files, summaries, and assessments
  • Recommend policy changes, training needs, and tooling requirements to the Director of Maintenance

Job Requirements

If you are an experienced A&P Mechanic with at least 2 years of certified maintenance experience, this role places you at the heart of helicopter operations that directly support life saving missions. Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection needs to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual conditions that affect schedules, aircraft availability, manpower or technical support.
  • Oversee maintenance of assigned aircraft at field bases, including monitoring stock levels and requesting necessary parts.
  • Maintain safety and security of all company assets at field locations.
  • Prepare and certify maintenance documentation, aircraft logs, inspection forms and reports in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Complete entries in maintenance software systems, including work packages, removals, installations and aircraft status updates.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Lead Mechanic and other operational personnel to ensure timely task completion.
  • Manage parts inventory and recommend adjustments when necessary.
  • Maintain and track calibration of company issued tools.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam, functional capacity assessment that includes lifting up to 100 lbs, drug screening and background check.

Additional Requirements for Roving Maintenance Technicians

  • Sheet metal repair and or avionics troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including with short notice.
  • Ability to work night shifts based on maintenance needs.

STS Technical Services is hiring Traveling Machinists in Brookville, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment to fabricate precision metal components according to specifications. You will also perform preventive maintenance and ensure all parts meet quality standards through inspection and verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production staff to resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • Participate in training and evaluation of team members.
  • Review blueprints, setup sheets, manuals, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
  • Measure and mark reference points on materials and workpieces for accurate machining.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials for use with mills, lathes, borers, grinders, and shapers.
  • Calculate and set machine controls for speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and cutting depth.
  • Operate CNC and conventional machines to perform trial runs and verify setup accuracy.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, making adjustments as needed.
  • Verify finished parts meet blueprint and specification requirements.
  • Install replacement parts, perform functionality tests, and ensure proper performance of equipment.
  • Maintain 5S standards for cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within the department.

Safety Requirements and Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to read, see, hear, and speak English clearly.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds; heavier loads with assistance.
  • May be required to operate cranes and forklifts as needed.
  • Work performed in a warehouse and fabrication shop environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and loud noise.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, and precipitation.
  • Must use tools including hand tools, saws, grinders, mills, lathes, and drill presses.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed boots (provided by the company except boots).
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Actively identify hazards, report issues, and participate in safety training programs.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of machinist experience or equivalent
  • Experience with FANUC controls and horizontal boring machining required

Other Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work overtime as needed.

  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
  • 3rd Shift: 5:30 PM – 3:00 AM
