Welcoming Natasha Ruotolo Back to the STS Technical Services’ Family

Natasha Ruotolo

There are times when people leave a job they love to go and pursue other interests. At STS Technical Services, we not only get that, we applaud it. Chasing down a dream is hard work, and we will never shut the doors of opportunity on past employees who have proven themselves to be dedicated, determined and eager to learn.

Such is the case with our newest Recruiting Coordinator, Natasha Ruotolo. Natasha worked for STS Technical Services from March 2013 through March 2020, and we are so happy to welcome her back to the team!

For those who haven’t met Natasha, get to know her a little more by checking out the Q&A we did with her just a few weeks ago.

Tell us a little about your professional background, education and / or experience?

I worked for STS from March 2013-March 2020, and then I went to school to be an esthetician. Now I am back.

What do you like to do for fun when you are not working?

I am a mother of 5. All my kids are in sports (baseball and softball), so that takes up most of my time.

If you could be any superhero, which superhero would you be and why?

To be honest, I have no idea. Not really into superheros.

Welcoming Jett Ryll to the STS Technical Services’ Family

Jett Ryll

Our newest Technical Recruiter in Jensen Beach, Florida, is a guy by the name of Jett Ryll. Jett is no stranger to aviation. In fact, you can say that his blood is made of equal parts jet fuel and contrail exhaust.

His father works for Precision Jet in Stuart, Florida, and he started helping his dad around the shop when he was 13 years old. Here he would stay up until 2015 when he decided to attend Florida Atlantic University where he received his B.A. degree in Communications with a minor in history.

Jett will be working directly with T.J. Scott’s team (God bless him) while focusing much of his time and attention to filling internal positions for STS Aviation Services and STS Line Maintenance.

If you are interested in learning more about your new colleague, check out the Q&A we did with him a week or so ago.

Jett, welcome to the family, man. Once you’re in you can never leave!

Tell us a little about your professional background, education and / or experience?

My dad works for Precision Jet and Fair winds here in Stuart Florida. I have been around aviation my entire life. When I was 13 years old, I started to help out around Precision Jet with whatever they needed done (cleaning parts, cleaning floors, helping mechanics, etc.).

I worked for my dad until I graduated in 2015 from Jensen Beach High School. I then decided to further my education at Florida Atlantic University where I spent four years obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a minor in history. Right after graduating from FAU, I was able to land a job with a hotel marketing company in Fort Lauderdale, however that lasted a few weeks as the COVID-19 Pandemic had become a serious threat; one that left me furloughed. I then moved back home to Jensen Beach where I started working as a parts specialist for a motorcycle dealership (WMR Competition Performance). While at WMR, I became familiar with the software they were using, built strong with relations with customers and clients, sold an array of parts and motorcycle gear and a whole lot more. I was with WMR for almost 2 years before starting my career here at STS this past week.

What do you like to do for fun when you are not working?

When I am not working, I enjoy playing with my 9-month-old golden retriever, being with my girlfriend and spending time with my family. I love playing video game, and I am a big Ohio State Buckeye fan so on Saturdays I love to watch the Buckeyes play. I still ride and race dirt bikes, love watching movies and being outside.

If you could be any superhero, which superhero would you be and why?

If I could be any superhero, I would most likely be Iron Man because of his ability to adapt to any situation. As he progresses, he is always making changes to his suit based on his past experience with villains, and he can fly, which is huge plus for an aviation enthusiast like myself.

Welcoming Becky Hughes to the STS Technical Services’ Family

Becky Hughes

Becky Hughes comes to us with years of professional experience. She joined our team a few week back as its newest Technical Recruiter working RPO for Wacker Neuson in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

If you are interested in getting to know Becky, check out the Q&A we did with her shortly after she was onboarded.

Becky, welcome to the STS Technical Services’ family. We are thrilled to have you!

Tell us a little about your professional background, education and / or experience?

I went to school at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and graduated with a degree in Management (HR emphasis.) I’ve had the opportunity to work for a handful of diverse companies in the La Crosse area, spanning a variety of industries (organic foods, healthcare, child care, public accounting, manufacturing and recycling, marine construction, and banking.)

I’ve enjoyed the wide range of responsibilities in the HR field and have had the opportunity to be involved in labor relations/contract negotiation, complex employee relations situations, talent development, succession planning, compensation & benefits, performance management, and onboarding/offboarding. Like for many, the pandemic put life in perspective, and I recognized quite clearly that recruitment and talent acquisition are my preferred areas of concentration within the HR field. I started my career as a Recruiter at Organic Valley, and I hope to focus the rest of my career in talent acquisition as well. What’s more fun and rewarding than offering someone a new job that they’ll love?! 🙂

What do you like to do for fun when you are not working?

When I’m not working, my life pretty much revolves around my daughters (Marley, a sophomore & Maya, a 7th grader.) I’m not a stereotypical “dance mom,” but most of my evenings consist of driving them to and from dance class and Nutcracker rehearsals! The three of us love to bond over Netflix binges, ice cream, and coffee – just call us the Gilmore Girls. 😉

I love the outdoors – hiking, kayaking, boating, morel mushroom hunting, and exploring. I tend to be cautious by nature, but I do love a good thrill (rollercoasters, skydiving, zip lines, etc.) or hitting the road for a long road trip with a solid soundtrack. In my humble opinion, concerts are underrated, and I can’t wait to hit some more shows post-pandemic! Foo Fighters, Jason Isbell, and Bruce Springsteen are at the top of my list, but I will definitely see Pearl Jam, Taylor Swift, and Garth Brooks again at some point! Otherwise, give me a good book and a hammock or fireplace, and I’ll stay out of your way for hours.

Oh, did I mention I grew up in Rochester, MN, and I’m a faithful Vikings fan?! (They WILL win a Super Bowl before I die!) Skol!

If you could be any superhero, which superhero would you be and why?

Hands down, I’d go with She-Ra! She is known for being a positive role model for girls as well as her strength (ability to lift grown men, robots, boulders, and buildings over her head), acrobatics, and speed. Her character is also nurturing and empathetic with an ability to communicate with animals. She is mostly non-violent and engages in combat only as a last resort. Instead, she uses her intelligence and wits to outsmart her enemies – and how much more powerful can you get than that?! 🙂

Trish Washburn

As our team continues to grow, we will continue to formally welcome / introduce each new employees to our clients, colleagues, business partners and friends via these short “Meet the Team” articles.

Next up on our list today is Trish Washburn. Trish joins our team in Wisconsin as its newest Technical Recruiter. In addition to being a great worker and a valued asset to our organization, Trish is also an accomplished track and field star and a former yoga studio owner.

For those who are interested, you can learn more about Trish now by checking out the quick Q&A we did with her two weeks back.

Tell us a little about your professional background, education and / or experience?

I have a BA in Communications from University of Iowa where I was a track scholarship for 100M hurdles. I come from a corporate background of working as an executive in Software as a Service where I handled gap analysis and implementations at customer sites all over the U.S. I also have a background in leading paradigm shifts in companies who have made acquisitions and again, doing process improvements by implementing best practices so both parent company and newly acquired company can streamline and improve. My favorite job aside from being a  professional water skier back in the day is owning and running my yoga studio, Soleil Lune Yoga Center, for the last 20 years. It is a gift to be able to watch people transform for the better and improve their lives inside and out.

What do you like to do for fun when you are not working?

What do you like to do for fun when you are not working? Yoga of course! . I also lead a yoga teacher certification program as well as continuing education credit courses for existing yoga teachers so I enjoy traveling and leading those trainings.

I also like doing anything active and outdoors. Hiking in the mountains, surfing, swimming, biking, and trail running are my favorites. I have 6 kids and 6 grandkids so spending time with them is always a joy and absolute privilege. It is never a dull moment!

If you could be any superhero, which superhero would you be and why?

Superhero…that is a great question. I really don’t have any deep longing to be a superhero, but is there one that talks to animals? That would be pretty cool. Being able to read people’s minds would be a superpower I would love to have. I also remember watching a cartoon Super Friends when I was young and there were this brother/sister team called The Wonder Twins or something like that and they could shapeshift into anything and they had a pet monkey named Gleek. That sounds pretty cool, too.
